O man, stay away from those G-freak guys. Bad-news. Yea that esc is a monster-2000 http://hobbycity.com/hobbyking/store...dProduct=10332 that they just put crazy water-cooling on. Ill try and look for the maker.

      Here's some reading material http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...hlight=g-freak, http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...hlight=g-freak, http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...hlight=g-freak

Ok I am pretty sure that g-freak esc is a Hifei esc also called a turnigy monster-2000 that they water cooled and installe a pistix. I am not 100% sure. http://www.hifei.com/en/News_View.asp?NewsID=61. They call it a Hifei 200 A-K King Kong series. It's hard to find a manual for that esc which is why Hobbyking and G-fake didn't add one to their page. This may or may not help. It's the manual for other kingkong/a-k series esc's. http://www.enroute.co.jp/manual/docs...0DL_manual.pdf

              Thank U

well that gives me a good idea of what I have. I'm sure to find a use for it just not the initial intended use. Without breaking out the slide rule that esc's not going to survive in my 10S project. Diesel, props to you for pointing me in the right direction. Once I figure out which mid size mono or cat I want that esc will be fine. As I said initially I got the esc from the original buyer along with props, motors, hardware, an unfinished hydro and accessories. Since I'm new to FE it won't go to waste. thanx again Diesel lmk if I can ever return the favor.

HiFei have not released the A_K series over 80A [yet] ..
We all await the upgrade to the controllers to gain datalogging on the swordfish variant of that range...

All the auto setup features of this seem okay, check other threads on ose re usage.
If pistix is hardwired to esc, will be impossible to program via external card.

Very good to know and thanks for adding. I guess we all agree that it is a Hifei though and we are on the right track...

Oops. I never agreed it was a hifei... that was your declaration !
grab a blade and removed that shielding heatshrink, and post a pic of the actual esc.

Still searching for more answer on this esc, here's a g-fake vid with it inside http://www.youtube.com/user/MERIDIAN...24/ncrzXigxX14 you can tell from the side angle it looks like the turnigy monster 2000 the way the caps are laid out the monster 2000 is a hifei. He with out a doubt needs to remove the cooling system to take a look though.
