I will be building an Aeromarine Mean Machine, with a Feigo 540-10XL 1,668/V. I will be using a Seaking 180 Speed control. I would like to use 18V 5c lipos! I know you guys recommended 4c ,and if you think that is the way to go then I will but I am very confused as there are a million brands and types of Lipo's so I need your help . I would like something decent but don't want to brake the bank, It's my 1st brushless build .I would prefer to buy from Hobbyking or http://www.allerc.com/ and recommendations is appreciated thanks chris

5S will give you around 30,000 Rpm which is OK, just keep an eye on your temps. As for LiPo Brands...Hobby Kings Turnigy's and Zippy (Flightmax) have proven to be fairly bullet proof (CONSIDERING THE PRICE). Go with the higest C rating your budget allows.Grand River Marine Modellers

Chris, use extra cap's (Rubicon Zl or ZHL type or similar low ESR capacitors).
Agree that you should use Turnigy from Hobby King (http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbyking/s...dProduct=14615).
Common used in Holland.
Advice also to use lipo safer.
Greets from Belgium.

How about a pair of http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbyking/s...dProduct=14956 ran in a 2P set up. Tons of continuos and burst plus 8k mahs?
Plus it's in the US so shipping is damn near free.Comment

If the 10XL is in your hands all ready, doby is leading you the right way like a 440 prop to start. Keep the temps under 140 degrees for a full runComment

I've got some for sale in the Swap shop. Good for 5s if that's what you want to run: http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...ad.php?t=20865Comment
