    540 size Motor Choice

    Hi Guys,
Looking for a new motor for a small mono and unsure which way to go..
What would be the difference (in performance terms) between the Neu 1509 1Y 3600 Kv and the Feigao 540S- 10S 3,549 RPM/Volt 5mm Shaft??
The Neu is 4 pole, but other than that specs seem similar.
So as I cannot buy both and compare them can any one tell me what would I notice as the main differences?
    Thanks.

You would notice the 30-40% power advantage with the Neu.............as well as the 4 poles you mentioned, and better bearings, and the 53mm length compared to 51mm, and the 40mm diameter compared to 36mm, and the cooling vents..................
NEED PARALLEL CONNECTORS?? QUALITY 5.5MM, 8MM, 8 AND 10 AWG, GET THEM HERE: http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...est!&highlight=

      WOW - 30-40% !! I wasn't expecting that.
Why is that if it is a similar KV?
Better quality magnets and more efficient?

The Neu is by far a better higher quality motor in every aspect.Just buy it.Forget the Feigao.

This is like putting a high school kid in the ring with Ali (in his prime)! I think a Neu that was dropped/de-magged/kicked/shot at, would still post better results then a Feigao. If you can afford the Neu buy one. Feigao's are cost effective just to stick the boat in the water, most of us including myself have run them, but ALL of us would rather have a Neu!

even the neu 1415 series would be good in a small mono more the size of the 540xl with killer torque

the 1415 series sounds good, but nothing around 3200kv.
The 2700kv is the closest but I guess my speed will drop as my current motor is just over 3000kv and I was hoping for a bit of extra speed.

The extra 30% of performance doesn't mean 30% more top speed does it?
IE. a 2700kv nue won't equal a 3500kv feigao - in regards to top speed???
