    cats ,hydros ,mono ???

just wanted to ask ,as im new to electrics but have had a gas mono before ..
now i currently own a 32 inch cat and when its going full throttle 65/70 kms ,i find it jumps a bit acrossd the water when im turning ,now is that because of the twin hulls ??

if yes obviosly a mono hull or hydro is going to be able to turn at full power ?? and if i was looking for fast stable fun i heard the UL1 are very good hydros are they good with modified equipment in ,,would you change shafts ect ,or are they ok to change motor and esc only ,,will they go better with leopard 4074 ?? 80kms on 4s or less ??

    I always vote Hydro.
The UL-1 driveline can be left alone if you want to beef up the power plant.
    just strengthen the turnfin area

The UL-1 is a great boat.It turns well and runs fine with the stock power plant. It was my most reliable boat.I up graded the flex shaft, motor cooling jacket,re placed the deans battery connectors with 8mm bullets (all my boats use 8mm on the batts),and replaced the stock motor bullets with 5.5mm.If your getting a UL-1 get the latest version with the big capacitor on the esc and the later versions have the turn fin better re inforced, but you could beef it up even more if you want.

            Gen,

What is the width of your 32" Cat?
In general, narrow cats do not turn very well at higher speeds. I am not totally sure about the physics of what is going on, but they do tend to hop in the turns when turned in tighter radius turns at speed. I have heard that you can back off throttle and let the sponsons get wet and then gently apply throttle through the turn and that can possibly help some.
            Hope this helps.
