Hobby Town USA deal!

So, I was at hobbytown usa yestereday looking for new tires for my ruster vxl and one of the emplyees told me a really interesting piece of information.
He said they will price match any item sold ONLINE at horizon hobby or Tower Hobbies! They had Pro-line Masher tires for $21 but tower has them for $15.49 so they price matched!!!

It's a great piece of information especially if they have boats or parts in stock so that you don't have to wait for shipping. I don't know if anyone elses hobbytown has boat parts but mine personally doesn't have alot. You never know though, someone else might have a regular stock of items.

Good to know, we dont have a HTU close to where I live now but I used to live at the one that was near my house in Ga when I lived down there!

It would be nice to pick up a Venom P1 for the same price I can get it from Tower with my SSC membership. Same day gratification is priceless

It definetly is! I don't know if the employee more or less let it slip about that but I'm glad he did.

I doubt they will match anything other than the normal price on the website at Tower. They surely will not honor your SSC price. Why should they?

You mean like the $60 off $300 or more SSC price? Because I don't think they would honor that either but never hurts to ask!

HobbyTown always does a price match for anyone on anything
but they will only match advertised prices not after discounts for Tower members

Ive alway gotten the (price break) from hobby town and if you ask they will match it, there linked with horizon hobbys products......but as said in previous post, they dont have alot to offer in boat parts in stores.......buy the boat then come here.....faster service from everyone here, hat off to you folks!!

since hobby clown buys its stuff from HorizonHobby's dealer site, and Tower Hobbies dealer site (GreatPlanes), there is absolutely no reason they shouldn't already have their s**t marked at exactly the same price as what you would find them listed at on those websites (since the website is selling it at MAP price anyway).

this tells me that your local Hobby Clown is selling it at MSRP and not MAP, which means they are ripping you off. find another hobby shop.

Tim get this.. One guy here in Norther Co owns the 3 Hobby Town stores and their prices differ from store to store on the same items

They SHOULD be at MAP price but they never are unfortunatly.
