Chuck I see you run futaba rxr's... your rxr wire is floating inside the hull... do your futaba 2.4 ghz rxr wires extend outside of the hull or do they stay inside? Just wondering as I am thinking I am gonna use my 3pk's on some of my fancier boats again and wondering about range and useage of them... I have two 3pk's fassts for I am using in the winter for my Carpet oval cars now and figure I mine as well use em in the summer on my fancier boats..

Sorry to mud up the thread Randy... my bad

i leave the antenna inside the hull with no problems. none of my boats have external antenna tubes.

Thanks Chuck for the info... neither do mine... lol... but I have been using simple tactics.... feel kinda silly though with a high end boat and a $50 radio... even though the tactic has been great... my PT21 I bought from Catboi is missing from the pic... just got it!!!

Yes and FigherCat has GREAT Service like Steve does here too.... so hes another great asset for us all!

But no Randy the Quad thing would make me pull my hair out... just too much going on.... but hey you should trade me a couple of your 1515's for some NIB 1520's, and put the 1520's on the outermost stingers.... you could use the center 1515's to get her up to speed then kick in the 1520's on 6s to push her the rest of the way ha ha...lol

I would want some 4000kv or so 1515 neu 's for the sponsons because the amp draw is higher on the center motors and once she is up to speed on monster power , say around.....78 mph or so then i would hit a switch on the DX7 and over drive on nitrous oxide kicks in but i would need to figure out how to keep my props from draging and slowing me down.........I could leave the prop nuts really loose and let them fall off i supose.........

O.k. man got it all figured out ! I will need to calibrate the 4000kverz on my radio to match full throttle speed of the 2200kverz so when i hit the swich at full throttle at 78mph it doesn't give full throttle to the 4000kverz yet even though i am full throttle . After hiting the swich pulling back down or throttling of would increase throttle to the sponsons and at that point there would be a bomb bay somewhare to drop something into the water to knock off the two plastic props between the sponsons so I could eliminate any possible drag wich could leed to unnesesary exsesive amp draw causing esc failures on my sponson drives wich could be bad...........I am sure I have the programing mixes to do it...................... for giving me vissions

Also don't rule out Ultra High Torque Servos with alluminum linkage hooked to the FDM Turbo Struts.... this way they could be lifted out of the water, the flexshafts could have a square end on the prop side so they could slip out and work in a 2 piece way so that the drive could lift up in a 90 degree angle fully out of the way causing no drag...

Boy its getting real deep in here isn't it Randy! ha ha.... or maybe its getting late and I'm loosing it even more then usual !

No way man you just found the loop hole i needed for the saw Q offshore capacity limit is 10,000mah and unlimited motors! I was spliting 10,000 mah between 4 motors and thats why i ran slow (best pass was 79 mph , record is 83.9...) on 6s even after my props were pitched up i gained no speed. The minimum my motors needed was 5000mah 40c pack per motor. The motors never ran as they should.... with a two stage drive system...........hmmmm.........I may need to pull some struts off a MM..........and..............sshhhhhhhhh !
