do you own the motor or thinking about getting one because the 1527 1y is an animal on 6s 2p and will push anything doug

1527/1Y is the go to 6S motor. 1455 would be my starting point. ABC 2316 is another good choice but takes a little more work on the setup.

What does the bare hull weigh?

I do own a 1520 1y . It looks like I may be looking for a 1527 1y if that dont work. Im kinda on a budget so it may be a while. I'll send some pics when my lady gets home Doug. The hull weighs 4lbs 1oz with hardware motor mount and servo raptor. Thanks for the input guys your help is much appreciated. Jason

When I ran it I used Feigao 9XL with a T180 esc on two turnigy 3s 3000 30c batts in series. When she got on plane she flew. I would suggest getting a lifter prop and fine tune the strut. With the right setup I'm sure she will run 60+.
