RC rules may need updating, because an inboard tunnel is considered a Cat.

I don't see this taking off. I would think the cost of this system to be alot more than an outboard, not to mention that is a bigger boat than the outboard versions.

Who knows, but the govening body of F1 h2O are considering it,due to the less emisions being pumped into the water and also the cheaper running cost etc
Guess we will just have to wait and see

It needs to have its own class. If I was a full scale F1 owner I would be screaming foul!

Totally agree that it would have to have its own class.
Its abit of a kick in the nuts for the F1 teams if they do bring this in LOL

Mercury already offers clean burning Optimax 2-strokes in F1 that are nearly as clean, if not as clean, as 4-strokes... I don't see this new thing taking off, and if it does, it'll be as another class, not replacing the existing class.

One more sactioing body hurting the racing it promotes. The Goodyear Tires only rule has worked awsome for Nascar and World of Outlaw Spint Car series. I doubt the few F-1 tunnels that race are doing that much damage to the environment. Leave'em as "true" outboards just use 4-stroke outboards. Just my opinion.

I wonder how much that puppy costs!? That might be enough right there to kill it.
