    Question

Is 9.9V legal in O class? 3 - A123 cells should beat NIMH at the time trial.

I don't see why not. The rule book says 7.6V to 10V, any chemistry and up to 10,000 mah.

Jim Vaughn tried the A123s in an O Mono but the boat just didn't like that much power - couldn't stay on the water even with some ballast.

If it's upside down, your hull needs more work, that's all.
