    Monster 2000 ESC cooling

I have a monster 2000 ESC I just got when I got it it had cooling on one channel on the top I added lines to it on top and sealed it with artic silver I then took the bottom cooler off and opened the channels to flow one to the next I then used thick plexi glass folded on each end drilled holes for inlet and outlet and sealed it with 30 min epoxy.
My question is did I waist my time or is it a good to get as much cooling to it as I can?

Not to knock your design any but it looks much more prone to leak than the first few pics. Were you having heat issues before with the first pic setup?

I will be running 10S X2 =4 4S 5000ma Hyp and 2 2S 5000ma Hyp with a little screamer in a 53" Cat. From what I found searching is that there is lot's of heat in a setup like this. I thought if I did as much cooling as I can before install it I may have less problems later. I did test to make sure it wont leak with a pump from a swiffer mop it shot a stream of water 4 feet and no leaks yet.

I run mine with no cooling on 8S.....the heat sink is huge and does the job.

                    I did a similar job:
                    http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...t=monster+2000
and, even with a 580 9L on 6S with a 647 it was cold... the motor was boiling, but the ESC was ok. I suppose we are doing this just because we can, not because it's needed...

You find them under the Turnigy brand, but are made by Hifei. Hifei also makes a more interesting model, with an integral data logger, but I've only seen it on their website.
