What method do you use to recharge at a raceor pond

Was wondering what method people are using to charge their packs up when at a race or at the pond. Was thinking of a small 1000 watt generator that would fit in the trunk of my car.I thought I read somebody said they use a deep cycle marine battery with good results. Will be charging 2S & 4S packs with a hyperion duo 3.

you could also use an appropriate inverter just keep an eye on batt voltage or run the car for periods to recharge a bit.

Nautyboyz and I use marine batteries to charge batts at the pond. If you have a boat or use an electric trolling motor it does double duty. Just charge it up before you go and it will last all day long.

the marine battery sounds like a good option easier to carry in the car with all the boat stuff
        in the trunk already.

I always brought a tractor battery to charge from
I could run 3 chargers off one battery and charge lipos for 4 boats (3 are 1P and 1 was a 2P setup)
3 heats everything was charged when I got to pond and I could recharge everything 2 more times without issue

I bought an 800 watt small generator at Harbor Freight last week for $90! Another method I use if you can park close to the pond is to just hook the charger up to my car battery. Check from time to time to make sure your car will start!

TIP: One time at the pond a friend's SUV battery went flat. We started his car by using a 4S 5000 pack to jump start it. Worked great and no harm to the lipo!
