Hey, I know this has probably been asked before, but how do I get my coupler out which is stuck? I have the Pursuit boat, and the inner part of the 3 part coupler is really stuck onto the flex shaft. I think I read about heating it up, would that help?

A buddy of mine just pried on it with needlenose pliers and so forth for quite a while and it finally came off...........................I have a pursuit on the way but thankfully wont have to deal with it since im putting a 4074 Leopard in it right off and a flex drive etc..........NEED PARALLEL CONNECTORS?? QUALITY 5.5MM, 8MM, 8 AND 10 AWG, GET THEM HERE:http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...est!&highlight=

Guess I'll try that next. I should just get a better two-piece coupler.
I've got the 4074 in it too, it's got a 3/16 flex drive in it. Great boat! With some more adjustments it'll be even better :)SV27 w/ Ammo 2300 / Stock ESC || Pursuit w/ Leopard 4074 2200kv / SeaKing 120a ESC || MHZ Drambuie on Ice w/ 2x Schulze 4.160wk's / 2x Neu 2215 1.5y'sComment

I first ran with a 40mm prop which came with my boat, and then tried the 42mm that came with it as well. I later realized that my strut wasn't neutral so that definitely slowed it down a bit. Also, I didn't leave enough room when I put on my flex shaft (I got the 1 piece upgrade shaft). Things got pretty hot that time.
You should start with the x440, and get everything neutral. You should use 2 2s lipos and put one on each side as far back as possible. Once everything is set go for the x442.SV27 w/ Ammo 2300 / Stock ESC || Pursuit w/ Leopard 4074 2200kv / SeaKing 120a ESC || MHZ Drambuie on Ice w/ 2x Schulze 4.160wk's / 2x Neu 2215 1.5y'sComment

I think that if you find a small enough gear puller that will work as well (actually thats a great idea I dont know why I never went to search for one) But I had mine stuck recently, tried heating and pliers... nothing. Had to grind the sucker off. That wasn't funComment

I don't think I have a gear puller, haha. I may try to just use pliers to get it off, and if not then heat it. Guess I should've gotten that 2-piece in the first placeSV27 w/ Ammo 2300 / Stock ESC || Pursuit w/ Leopard 4074 2200kv / SeaKing 120a ESC || MHZ Drambuie on Ice w/ 2x Schulze 4.160wk's / 2x Neu 2215 1.5y'sComment

Can't recall which expands faster mild steel or stainless, but please be careful if trying to heat it.
Hope this helps. =)FighterCatRacing Team CHING BLING - Ching Bling. Brilliant, Advanced Sparkle for your hull.Comment

Be careful prying it off, I worry you'll damage the bearings. Try heating the coupler with a soldering iron, it will probably slide right off...
