IIRC Mike ran some Medusa's with the lower unit. Fairly powerful motors. I'm planning to power up for some very "short straight "runs when the time comes. In the meantime the P-Spec OPC setup in oval trim is all I plan for now. I'll be posting the build soon; it's a fairly unique hull that I've been sitting on for a while. Hang on for the build thread - soon !

Thanks for the info. Now what about a ESC to run a 1515 1Y?

Many who race the 1515 1y use the Castle 240 LV and thats what I've gone to. If you you want to go cheap, I would go with something that can handle at least 180 amps. I ran the motor successfully on a mono with a Etti 150 last year but I had to prop conservatively and would not recommend that setup.
