Strut positioning for small HM catamaran

    Hi guys

I have a small HM catamaran and I'm unsure where to position the centreline of the strut.

I have built a catamaran before and what I did was to place the catamaran on the (dinner) table and position the centreline at the same level as the steps.

Now I have this neat HM Agitor small catamaran. Its about 60cm.

My problem is that the steps are at different levels and not perfectly horizontal if the hull is laid on a flat surface. There are 3 steps (looking sideways). The first front step is lower that the middle one and the middle one lower that the third one......

Where do I install the centreline? Should it be:

    A. at the same level as the lowest step
    B. Draw an imaginary line between the tip of steps (lowest end) and have the centreline on that imaginary line?
    C. Somewhere between the lowest and highest step

Thanks a lot for you help and opinions.

I would push the stern down and let the rear ends of all steps touch the flat surface then set the propshaft level for a starting point. More than likely the hull will skim across all three steps at that angle.
