MHZ Lizard X, need about 10mph extra, setup advise?

Currenlty have a nice and stable Mhz Lizard Extreme running about 45-50 mph.
    setup is:

    - Hacker C50 11Xl 1527kv
    - Hydra 120 LV with added 25V capboard
    - Octura X445
    - 6S

I do realise that I'm pushing the limits of the Hydra 120LV here but after about 25 sets of lipo's no (temperature) problems whatsoever

I want about 10mph extra speed. I do have a brand new 1520 from the Castle motor sale and picked up a RTR Octura X447, X448 and X450 as well.

The Castle 1520 is 1600kv instead of the Hacker's 1527kv for some more RPM's. Combined with the (slightly) bigger prop this should give me roughly 5-10 mph extra right?

I dont think its a marvellous idea to try this new setup with the 120LV though. Thinking of a T180A of shall I just do it right and go for a nice HV EsC at once (Swordfish 240HV, Hydra180HV ?)

Any ideas, i'm still fairly new to all this boating stuff...

    Thanks!

Going to larger diameter props may not be the answer for a 32" boat. Stick on an m645 for more pitch, more rpm and less prop walk than an x450. That should be good for close to 5 mph more speed. You really should be going a bit faster than you are, I suspect your packs are not holding voltage, the motor has been overheated, or the boat is trimmed too wet. What packs are you using?

I believe that to reach 57-60 mph you'll probably pull too many amps for the Hydra120. Depending on the timing you may be able to pick up a couple mph by advancing to 10 to 15 degrees. That may - or may not - increase the heat; where is your timing currently set?

How large is your pond? Boats need some distance to reach top speed and if your pond is too short you may just not be topping out yet.

      Thanks Fluid!

I have used three different sets of lipo-packs, all quality brands and above 30C, so that should be ok. Maybe it's still running too wet, I wil try a few things with this.
Pond is BIG, so no problem in that area as well....

645 sounds like a plan, I will try to buy one of those.
I have tried the X450 on a 5S in the past and indeed it was a little too much on the propwalk.

I do know for sure now that I want a bigger ESC. Then I will try the Castle with the X447 on 6S, and later the 645. See what happends with the speed.
