it will be a absolute missle thats for sure... a little big for a df25, its the perfect motor for a df29...... but it will work... just make sure you are pointed in the right direction when you pull on the trigger :)

m440 or x440... should make it ballistic too... you will want a 150 amp speedy or larger... a 120 amp will be real close to its edge...

I have that motor in a DF33 copy and it's high 40s with a m445 and I still have A LOT more props to test. It can swing a decent size prop. Something like a ammo 2300 3s or 4s maybe better for that hull or a CC 1512 1y on 3s. Do a search on this site of delta force 26's and see what everyone is running. UL-1 power would also work well, same with SV27 power on 4s. The new gold can SV27R motor, with a ul1 esc on 4s would also run very very well. JMO

I only recommend the smaller props if he decides to run the 4074, as the boat will be plenty fast with the smaller prop (on 4s) and probably handle much better..and if he already has that motor and doesn't have the funds for another (but you could sell that motor in a hurry in the SS)..... a big prop on a 25" mono hull will probably be a little rough handling.....

For what it's worth, my prince is running the Miss Geico esc/motor and I got 42mph on her today running a m645 on 4s. No heat issues at all.

Cats run looser than V's. The same setup on a mono will pull more amps.

                    ?

I think he meant that a v hull has more friction or drag on the water than cats or hydros so they draw more amps with the same set up?
