Can I use a Traxxas VXL system (out of slash 4x4) in a boat.

I have noticed that no one has posted. I do not see any reason not to except for the cooling thing. Maybe put a cooling plate on top of the heat sink (OSE sells them) and check temps. Not sure if you can remove the heat sink and place the cooling plate where it rested and add a couple more tubes on the sides. Just a thought. The info says it is water proof but don,t trust em.

Fast, I'm looking at the Traxxas web site and found the VLX-3s Vilineon ESC and it says it is good to 3S (11.1) and handles BOTH brushed and brushless motors and auto senses which one and can take 320 AMPS peak! If this is the one you have, it is a keeper but I don't see how it does it. I'm not sure you can yank 320 amps out of a 3s.

traxxas also makes a fan just for this esc, i dont know on what you are planning on putting this combo in but boats do draw alot more amps than cars

burned up 2 traxxas esc in boat one with the 3500 velineon and the other with a 6 pole 380l motor i suggest againgst it
