    Desktop Vinyl Cutter?

Anyone ever use one? I just ordered a Silhouette to do my own vinyl decals and will probably offer some to the OSE community as well.

Can't imagine it being too difficult.

    Any thoughts?

It will be ok for most jobs, but you are usually limited by the software. Given that it comes with a windows printer driver you should really start looking at Corel Draw...
Just make sure you find a good source for Oracal 651 vinyl.

Ive done it a bit, as long as you master the sizing, and get a good program like draw you will be ok.

        cutters.

I have a Copam CP-2500. 24" wide roll cutter. I got it from UScutter.com also and it is $750 right now with a stand. I have had good luck with mine, but do not use it much. I bought it to be able to make my own signs for the factory when we were building it, now it just sits in my office idle most of the time. It has paid for itself just during the building phase. I have not had any bad issues with UScutter.

Just did some paint stencils for someone's stockings for Christmas. Last thing I did was a smiley face for my sons crackerbox. Before that the "scarab sport" graphic for scarab chris. OH, also did bin labels for work, see, it is work related....

I started doing some of the calvin type boy stickers here and have a few downstairs with a hydro or mono. But someone here started selling them and I didn't want to start any waves by just giving away some. Maybe I should raffle a few off with money going to Steve to help pay for our OSE internet home!

P.S. I bought vinyl from somewhere else as it was cheaper. Sign warehouse or something like that I think. Better selection, more supplies and better pricing. But that was a few years ago, so might be different now.

Hey Brian, I would be interested in the Calvin with a mono, if you still got some. What color? Thx
