    HK 5.5 Connectors...Anybody use them?

    Has anybody ever used these...

I would like to hear some feedback from people who have tried them.

All my connectors are Castle's. Will they connect good to the Castles or is there some slight difference?

That is all I use. Never had any issues ( yet ) Good connectors, never mind the price... Get them. They will connect with castle. Plus you can allways make them tight by spreading the male side of it.
Last week HK was out of stock. I just made order for them few days ago.

I just ordered a whole bunch. I like the notched wire side; very easy to solder.

The difference is the length of the bullets. The HK bullets are longer than the CC.They will connect, but you will have some of the bullet exposed.Other than that, they go together just fine.Just pick your brand.

Those AM-1005 are far better than the other 5.5mm connectors HK sells.

The other ones are TRASH!!!!! They seem to always have the others in stock but, these are a little harder to come by. Nice to see they are in stock now, my B/O's are finally on their way...

I have only used these, they work great. Easy to solder, if using at least a 60-80watt soldering pen.

                      I can also confirm that...
80-100A is not a problem for them
                      the best price/quality ratio

there are also new 4mm plugs that can handle 60A

I'm aggravated paying $7 for each set of Castle 6.5s but I'm so deep into my standardization I can't turn back. 5 cars, 5 planes, ten boats and too many batteries using the castles now!

I guess I could make short adapters and convert over slowly.... Hmm.

Castle makes excellent connectors, I would leave well enough alone at this point.

Yeah, I think you're right. I sometimes have trouble getting 8ga wire connected - those Turnigy batteries are all going with monster sized wires but I'll deal with it. Thanks.

I just got my 5.5's from HK and they are perfect. This is the AM-1005 version and there is no comparison to the other crap they sell for 5.5mm bullets.
