      There are a couple of places in the Bay Area;

      Kaiser Cove in Fremont but you need to join Model Mariners and be a NAMBA member; Campbell (middle) Perk Pond off Hwy 17 near Los Gatos but you need to get your hulls inspected by Parks & Recs for Quagga/Zebra muscles or risk a fine if you get caught w/o a green tag...you should also be a member of NAMBA for insurance purposes as the pond is NAMBA approved and insured for members.
      You can also run certain days/times at Golden Gate Park in SF, but I have not so I don't have details.
      I let the dogs out...

            Kris,

            You might try giving Randy Naylor a call, I believe he is in Concord. Look up BBY racing, his number is on the website.

            You can also look up lakes in District 9 (NorCal) at www.namba9.net. Here is the link to the race sites: http://www.namba9.net/Directory.htm

                I am starting to think nobody wants me to run with them or all the clubs are dieing off around here. I have emailed everybody in my area and nothing. Ether the email gets kicked back or there is no response. The one response I got he told me to check the namba9 site and that was how I found him. and that was the Fremont club. I'm not a bad dude I just want to run with people.
                Thanks,
                Kris

                  See my prior posts. We run FE at both Fremont and Campbell, but you should really join NAMBA so that you are insured to run model boats at approved sites.

                  Model Mariners in Fremont is active and growing. Marine Modelers has a few members left, and Coyote Valley Model Marine spent a great deal of time and money getting Park & Recs approvals and insurance for the Campbell perk pond. You can run nitro at either venue.
