    Nemisis and Feigao

Is it my imagination, I am getting different speeds on the same boat and it seems that the Nemisis is faster. I know they have the same specs but has anyone notice this ?
I am very curious and maybe because my batts where warm, I dunno, any insight will be nice. They are the 8xl's.

The specs are the same because a Nemesis is made by Feigao. There is no difference at all. Since these are entry level/mass produced products it is entirely possible that one motor was made a bit better than the other. Its also possible that the slower motor has been over heated at some point in its life and lost some magnet strength.

Ive had a question on this for a while. one of the main applications for neo magnets is in automobile starters, how can the starter mags survive being bolted to a engine thats 200+ degrees for years on end, and a boat motor (any brand) can get weaker at much less temps?

compare the time (in second or minute) that the stater runs in its life to the time that we spend burning or toys!!!
does temp has a real impact compare to the electromagnetic field in our BL motors??? no sure!

steve, do you think the same of the SV motors? cant figure out why i would get different GPS readings in the same boat when all i did was change the motor with an exact same motor.

would this also explain why a set of battery packs would run completely different mph's in 2 SV's with the exact same setup?

Its a possibility. When we buy these lower cost products, we give up the top notch quality of the more expensive motors, like Plet, Lehner, Hacker and Neu. As we all know there is a reason for lower costs. And its just not the cheaper labor. Its faster production and lesser quality materials. Now for a large segment of the rc users like myself, it just doesn't matter. Because we are not talking about motors that fail, but motors that are just not as efficient as the top dogs. If I were racing competition in open style of racing I would opt for the best. That's where we all get into a arms race. Thats the reason I like the lsh and lso classes.

I'll chime in here. Yeah it is 99% most likely the same deal. It happens more than you think. Example: In 98 my cousin and I bought a couple Yamaha Blasters (quads). Mine was faster hands down. We both weighed about the same and broke them in properly. I don't know how ot why it's just the way it was. This happens more than you would think.
