    FE 1:10/1:12 Hyrdo Hulls

New to boating. Not new to racing r/c related vehicles.

I read a few threads that indicated several OSE Forum members had purchased the 32" Hydro hulls from the gfreaks guys.

I believe Ive located them for direct purchase from China (having difficulty being able to get someone at GF's who want to sell any).

Like the size this hull offers. Easy to transport in a average size car. Shouldnt require crazy power or motor to run fast. I could run on 4S or 6S and be able to use my batteries in all my boats.

Im looking for some information from any boaters who have purchased this hull, or seen them perform.

If not, I'll just pull the trigger on the latest version of ProBoat Miss Elam Brushless.

    Regards,
    JD

Get a Insane FE30 or a whip. 10x the boat of the RTR scale hydros and has lots of room for driving skill improvements and gear. Not that I'm opposed to the RTR boats, I still have a Miss Bud on the shelf. But you wont regret getting either of the boats mentioned earlier.

As far as the G-Freak. Dont. One word. Thats not a hull with much promise. Its on parr with the Miss Bud/Elam/Llumar, yada, yada. You want to settle for a 40mph hull then go there. A stock UL-1 will smoke the G-freak hull. And its cheaper. Welcome to FE and a whole bunch of fun!

ul-1 would be much better than a g freak hull or the elam. elam will sink quick if you flip it. ul-1 will float all day. plus its lipo ready and alot faster than elam. and theres no need to get a stupid program card like the elam

If your building skills are decent then there are three choices - Insane FE-30, Phil Thomas SS21/Stealth or Whiplash 21. The first is a ready-for-install 'glass hull, the next 'glass needing some finishing and the last a full wooden kit. All run very well in the low 50s with spec power (UL-1 motor and ESC, 4S1P pack).

If you want an RTR then the AquaCraft UL-1 is the better boat versus the ProBoat Elam, etc.
