SV27 arrived safely 'down under'

The SV27 arrived safe and sound over the weekend.
I was lucky to get a yellow one as we all know they go faster !
This will be offered as a RTR package with batteries and charger from our Auckland club to encourage new members into an entry class.
We now have 4 SVs all different colours.
I have just finished 'blueprinting' the boat to correct the usual dodgy assembly.
Nothing serious, just stuff like wooden frame not glued in properly and binding flexshaft.
This is still the best value for money RTR on the market.

Dog mate what does the local hobbie shops sell them for? I know here in OZ they cost $550.00 aust dollars which is a ripoff, can build a better boat for that! But if you get them from the states for about $350.00 aust including post then they become alot better value for money! When are the distributors down south realise that people in the know would prefer to import than be ripped off!

The local hobby shops aren't selling the SV yet but if past performance is anything to go by they will be a rip-off price like in Aussie.
To be fair it's not the hobby shop thats jacking up the price but the local importer/ distributor.
Until this changes we will continue importing a lot of our model boating gear ourselves, which is a shame as I would like to support local business but I'm not keen on being ripped off.
