9xl on 6s in df29????

    9xl on 6s in df29????

    anyone ever done this or is it a grenade setup...I will be using a small prop as well maybe a 42mm etc.?? this isnt for racing just for saw type runs in a large pond ..just want a bullet lol

    when i fist started i tried a 10xl on 6s in a df29 is and it grenaded..the boat was very fast for a very short time...do not do it

        I think you need a smaller prop than that.
        Don't forget that a fully charged 6s pack is 25V. Thats around 46,000 rpm.
        A 42mm prop will smoke something, I'm pretty sure.

          A x438 would be a safer bet. I have ran my miss geico on 6s, 1800kv motor, x438 and m440. I was using a 150a esc and everything was good.

                  get one of the cheap castle 1515's 2200kv and try 5s..that will give you a bullet for sure with a tougher motor then the feigao..that df29 will take offf like a kite though

                    the magnet was in pieces and the shaft was seized up..which blew my controller too

                      I threw a 2200kv castle in it but never had the balls to use 5s on it hehe,I run 4s w x445 prop and it is ok but I love speed

                        hahaah well i guess its time to "ball" up now isnt it?? lol that is if you want to try a saw setup..still real high rpm's 40,000 unloaded..i would prop down though too..maybe some of the saw guys will chime in and give some real advice

                          5s and 6s on a cc 2200 just for kick , wicked fast but no long term results to talk of it probably kills the motor but the rebuild kit is $25

                            9XL on 6S will ! Try to calculate rev speeds of 29k to max 35k. I run a 12XL off 6S in my TC31 and it goes plenty fast, but I will try a 11XL in the near future as well...
