anyone tried a skywing 200a esc?

just wondering if anyone has tried the skywing 200a watercooled esc. i wouldnt normally try this (had bad luck with supro's in the past) but i couldnt resist. they are on the bay for $45 shipped. the specs dont look great, 200 constant 210 peak but i figure if it could work with even a 100a set-up it is worth the $45, if nothing else maybee i can put it in a rescue boat

I run one in my JAE.21FE on 4s 5800mah 6XL N940 cut to 34mm, it was cheap and works well enough being the same as the HiModel GX200bec apart from the colour of the heatsink and shrink.

I run one in a Vegas with a 1515 1Y on 4S....no complaints here. Its' probably just not best to run them on 6S.

I have mine on a 1515 2200kv on 4s as well and it works great. I did however try one on 6s with a 1521 and it smoked it in just over 1 min.

Let us know how it works out. The Swordfish 200A ESC is $100 plus shipping.

I drilled out the water nipples for better flow. they had very small holes. The nipples were very loose also, so may need tightened too.

Yeah that and throw some thermal paste on the FETS for better heat transfer…and then use zipties to hold the watercooler in place…then spray with conformal coating and call it a day

Mine had 7 out of 17 fets actually being cooled on the 150 so that is a must.

It's maybe a very late reply,
I run it in a H&M NoStep 3 on 6S with a scorpion HK 3026 1900KV. Even with a to big prop(octura X445 instead af a X442) the scorpion was very very hot, but the ESC had no problem at all.

                        hi

I have 2 of these esc's and run it in my 36" twin cat with toppower(leopard clone) 4082 1600kv motors, setup for 6s and timing set at 1 deg. After a few run the boat slow down, I take it to shore and check the esc is hot. Maybe the timing was not right, if anyone knows which timing should I set so it won't gets too hot, the motors is not warm at all.

Not sure about the toppower, but the Leopard 4082 1600kv looks to be a 2Y motor, which should run better between 10 - 15 degrees. Thing is, you are saying the motor is not hot so I'm not sure it will help, but try it with short runs and frequent temp checks. BTW I run that esc in a DF29 w/a 8xl - great so far.
