The Octura 442 has a diameter of 42mm or 1.65" and has 2.310" or 58.8mm of pitch. The 42x55 has also has the same diameter as the Octura 442 but has 2.16" or 55mm of pitch it also has a different blade profile. hope this helps.

so the x442 would be marginally faster in the same boat? because of a difference in pitch

No, it depends on many other factors...welcome to the FE world....it can drive you crazy.

I have both and used them on my JAE rigger.
Grimracer looks a bit faster, but haven't put GPS in...
Prop shape is totally different, de X442 is a sharp tipped prop measuring 42mm in the tips.
The Grimracer has rounded tips and seems to measure more like 44mm then a 42mm.
          Blades are larger also.
Not sure about lift difference on both props.
On my JAE the load on the setup is not much different, both props heat up the setup about the same and runtime is comparable also.

the sharper tips are supposed to achieve better top speed I think???

Tip shape by itself is not a factor. The fastest nitro props (130 mpg) have rounded tips. The fastest FE props (140 mph) have pointed tips. Most FE-30 drivers find rounded tips faster. But it is overall blade design matched with a specific motor/hull that matters.
