Looks to me like it had all - in - one, or inline rudder and strut, with the hole being for the rudder pushrod seal. I would get some UL-1 hardware and put it on. You will have to drill for the rudder though. It would be on the left side of the strut. If your nervous about setting the rudder, maybe this will help. I ALWAYS drill thru the holes on the rudder bracket itself for accuracy. Using 2 sided tape to stick it in place. drill one hole and put a bolt in it, snug it up and drill again repeating with the bolts. It's hard to screw it up this way.

Yeah it's got to be the water outlet. And I think someone linked you to a strut/rudder combo earlier in the thread that would work.

Same bolt pattern. Just flip the rudder bracket over to the left side. That extra hole on the right was probably a water exit or something.Noisy personComment
