8 dollar waterjacket for casltle 1515 1y finned

I made this for 8 bucks because nobody had stock on the alum ones...It cost me 8 bucks total for the 2 fittings, tube of acrylic, and the hardware store o-rings..if ya need one in a hurry this is where its at lol I made it in 10 min literally and so easy for those wanting to run the castles asap...and like to watch water flow hehehe bling

Good job Kyle. Did you test it yet?

What hardware store carries that tubing. Never seen it before.

Let us know how that 2200 works in that hull. Was trying to get mine installed before winter but not sure if that's gonna happen.

The tubing is acrylic pipe from a plexiglass store and its sold 6 feet at a time but I have dibs on scraps and get fittings cheap so real world cost is cheap still for everyone else.that hull should like the 2200 on some killer lipos and trimmed out a tad better...I tried a tekin 2050 in it the other day and it was a missile with a 42x55 prop lol talk about rooster tails dang.I am anxious for this monster in there on that prop hehehe and yes it is water tight flows perfect and I also tossed a bead of clear silicone just in case but it will be fine im sure as the rest of the homemade jobbies are....hmm anyone need a jacket and some rings to fit this tubing maybe I will sell the jackets assembled and with a set of O-rings for a few dollars more than it costs me...and as a bonus the jacket fits my tekin t8 motor as well hehe....ghetto fabulous mang

for a 1717 I would need the motor in my hand as the pipe diameter and O rings are different lol but can be done easy peasy.that motor is a touch bigger than a 1515 but I can get the pipe to fit hehe ssssneaky.plus I like the bling factor and being able to see the flow(obviously not while the boat runs but just for blockages etc)

I would've bought one here but I was told it is weeks before they are back in stock prolly due to the 60 dollar sale etc....anyways it seems to work good and oddly enough it is lighter than my 9xl with aluminum jacket...I would have also tried the carbon fiber route but cant get it locally so thats a pain.thanks for the nods guys we all have a little macgyver in us hahaha.now off to find some 4s lipos for this motor,,,,,,,,,,

I did'nt think it was a big secret. Steve gives credit to HRC Machine in the store listing. I think most forum members would buy directly from Steve anyhow.

I made one for the leopard 4074 out of PVC and it fit great. 2 o rings and I will end up putting silicone around it as I do all mine.

When the part is in stock I buy at OSE, Steven is a nice guy and he is very serious.
Water jackets are made by HRC Manufacturing , the water jacket for CC 1717 is out of stock that's why I order to HRC, the price is the same.
