    rudder position

searched a few threads on different rudder setups but really did not find too much for my application at hand...should i mount my rudder on my big cat in the direct center or offset it to the right on my twin drive tsb cat? some of the twin hpr setups i have seen have a center mount rudder but they are made to go straight and fast...my cat has a much wider design and should be able to turn fast also...should it be centered or offset? i am sport running with this boat and iam not a racer

my twin drive supercat has a center mounted rudder and handles literally on rails.... I wouldn't recommend if it was a single drive but being twin drive I would go center rudder..... the center rudder is not nearly as desireable in a single as the rudder gets washed by the prop.... then I think it becomes inconsistent... but with the twin go center rudder... my supercat is wide and it likes it!!

It says w/water pickup, but I don't see the pickup...

It looks like the rudder I used on the EKOS, only bigger. The triangle helps keep the nose down turning. AFAIK

My waste of money EKOS has a SpeedMaster offset rudder and handles and drives straight. It is twin drive, which helps. My Drifter L,on the other hand, pull very hard to the right. It is a single drive with the rudder offset from the prop.
