    EC THUNDERBOLT Cat. suggestions

Okay, i talked to tom about 2 weeks ago about building me a thuderbolt catamaran 50".....heck of a guy, supper nice!!!! Orignaly i wanted him to build one for me with all speedmaster hardware, single motor setup such as a Neu 2230 and using a Castle 240 hv esc on 10s 2p. Due to me getting very involved with the RC BOAT FEVER i have kinda tapped into my thunderbolt fund on a few hulls. Know im thinking making this a twin motor set up with either 2 Leopard 4082 1500kv or 1600kv with 2 T-180 esc's or 2 1717 motors on 6s 2p. Good thing i didnt have him start this build because it would of been a shelf queen

Question is i guess does anyone have any suggestions on setups to push this into 60mph+ range. Never built one with twins. Suggestions on mounts, cable size, motors?
Going with the orignal speedmaster hardware though..........

Hull with hardware $500 but was only "single motor"
    Total shipped with hardware$550
I wanna stay around $1200 total without batterys..........

You think these would push this 50" hull 60+ with 2 t-180's

I really dont know. I haven't use the motor enough in a large enough hull to see its full potential. I'd say they have close power to a 1527. Def. more than the 1521.

I am not a supporter of lv esc's running 6s though. I've seen bad things happen first hand.
          I'll never do it again.

just for the record, the 1717 I have on the way to you pushed the hurk of a 45"cyclone cat in the low 40s ---- ONE and the cat was heavy. You are doing a 50" and wanna use twins - might need to try 7S.... you are crazy like me! I might even have a pair of CR x447s you could pick up. If you can keep it on the water, I don't see how you could avoid pushing it into the 60s.

Where can i get come nice motor mounts for the cat. hull. Ive seen some in the mhz cat boats in some pictures that are carbon fiber but they dont sit down in the sponson they sit on the edge of the center part of the hull and the lip i think around the hatch area......They look clean and easy to install. I want to lay the inside of this with carbon fiber also....Never done it before but looks great and serves a purpose....win win.....Or could i use two mounts like the one steves sells.... http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...prod=ose-80200.... Expoxy these down in the sponson's.... run 2 4082 1500kv on 6s??????
