If that has the same kind of tip those little chainsaw grease guns have you just need a little hole, no fitting required, the roller tip on my chainsaw bar just has a little hole you push the tip in.
I prefer pulling the cable to lube it, you should be taking it out at the end of the days running to dry it anyway, or it will rust. You also make sure the whole length of the cable is greased not just one small area.
I've changed to a mix of grease and 90 weight outboard gear oil, You can feel the difference in drag spinning the prop with your finger.
LOL at first I thought we where talkin about my hairdo when I play in the Rockabilly band. For that I use Murray's Pommade!
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

I have not thought about drying the shaft after run .... I like this tip.
So, what grease I should look for? Any real boat grease works good?
I've tried all different kinds and now use Park waterproof bicycle grease. About 5$ for a pound tub. about a 50-50 mix of that and the 90 marine gear lube. A thick syrup consistency. Holds up fine for a full days running.
