    Max Amps

Can somebody tell me if this is right a NEU 1515/1Y running a Octura X 442 pulls about 110 max amps and a NEU 1521/1.5D running a Octura X 447/3 pulls about 90 max amps if this is right then a Swordfish 200LV will work on both set ups, If this is not correct can somebody please help me out, oh battery set ups on both are 4S2P 10000mah and 40C, why I am asking is I kept loosing the caps on my Hydra 240LV ESC.

I would add extra caps on any ESC you throw in the hull...
what hull is it that you are running that is pulling those numbers?
And what brand are your lipo packs?

My P Sport Hydro runs a 1521/1.5D on 4S spinning a Prather S230 draws ~190 amps averge, with peaks of over 230 amps. I run a Castle ICE200 with a fan, and it works fine on a 90*D day running one mile on the 1/6th mile course. Can't say about the Swordfish, but that's near its rated max amps. The x447/3 has a 'similar' load to the P230 but is not the same.

The Neu 'D' wind motors draw a lot of amps, and 90 amps is silly low for them. The UL-1 motor in my FE-30 draws 90 amps running 53 mph. 90 amps/4S with the x447/3 prop would be pretty slow.

Yep. Low timing. How long are your power leads?

One other thing to consider is how you are running the boat. If you are slowing down quite a bit and then accellerating(sp?) over and over this puts a heavy load on the ESC.

I am running a Neu 1515/1y with a turnigy 180amp, M447, FE30 and peaking at 180amps with a steady pull in the low to mid 100's. Everything is coming back in pretty good shape heat wise.

              Max Amps

First of all I am running a DF 29" that is the 1515/1y would max amps be about 135 amps and the wires leads are standard length on both of the battery and ESC and the DF 33" is the 1521/1.5D but on this one the motor timing was set to medium not low, my mistake, now I am soldering the leads to the ESC like the picture. On the 1515/1Y I am going to try the Swordfish 200LV because the cap are bigger.
