    prop for df29

I just aquired df29 I put a BJ26 motor and turnigy 120 amp esc in it and was wondering what size prop should i be running? I did test the boat today using a
x645 & M445 on 4S1P and ran mid 30mph .Will that motor swing a bigger prop or is this the speed i should see also what timing should I set for the bj26 motor
    Thanks jack

Your only getting around 22000 rpm on 4s with that motor. I would prop down to a 642 and run it on 5s. JMO!

ya mine was running a x445 prop on 4s and was ok but needs more top end speed, using a 9xl and turnigy 180a esc.gonna try tossing in a castle 2200kv and goin with a x447 prop as the castles can prop up a tad I hear...you may want to listen to goin up in cell count with that smaller prop idea hehe ...if you want to use that motor be careful not to go over the 120 amps your speedo can handle.I always "try" to keep 10-20% above what I actually need esc wise overkill is better imo

An X645!!!...I am surprised your ESC is still alive...try an X640/X442 and what batteries are you using and hardware, cog etc.?

I would increase pitch instead of diameter. Anything over 45mm on a 29 inch hull is gonna start causing handling problems IMO. Need more RPM!

Hmmm, something is wrong...74 amps on an X645? ....too dry a setup?

I not sure but I think when you say "to dry" meaning the boat is running to loose! This is my first mono the boat was run as a P-spec and I thought i was told to run the BJ motor as it will spin a larger prop then using the UL1 motor. When I tried any smaller props the boat ran wetter and slower.I don't have a great selection to try now but I did try X438,X437/3,prather220 and X642 but the better prop was the m445.
Douggie I will see Doby hopefully on Sunday at a little get together he's having if the weather holds up so maybe he can sjed some light on it.

                Thanks Jack

IMO I would go with a 447. I've run this setup in an OM29 with good results. Certain combos works better with more diameter than pitch.
