    df29 and turnigy180 esc

anyone run 6s on a turnigy 180 or seaking 180 esc? I am using a separate bec and wanted to try running 6s in a df29 mono hull with either a x445 or x447 prop with a 9xl motor...I also have a castle 2200kv that I may use if I need to..... 2200kv but not really liking using it on 6s my boat needs speed lol.The feigao 9xl can run 6s from what I have heard possibly?

You can run 6s on any motor. How long will it and or the esc lasts is a mystery. FWIW I have ran my shovelnose hydro with a T180, 9xl on 5s. She hauls but runs a little hot. After a minute temp get up to 140 easily. Imagine what 6s will do.

Driftah - so you finally made a deal on the df29!!! Fun boat. You're in SAW territory with a 9xl on 6s (1853 kv x 22.2 volts = 41,136 rpm). I run mine on 4s and it can get squirrely, 5s is flying (34k rpm). No GPS so I don't have a good speed but plenty fast. Good luck and let us know how it does.
