just about ready to paint my supervee 27 , what is the best paint to use ? ive read fusion is crap and some say it isnt? also read about appliance epoxy but it only comes in 2 colors with and black.

I used regular krylon with it's primer , light primer for light base color and dark primer for dark base colors when all done I use rustolium clear because the krylon clear did'ent work so well, when all done clearing wetsand w/2000 wet or dry and then use a good 3m polishing compound to get a nice shine.

Krylon Fusion would have been my suggestion but appliance epoxy sounds good as well, especially if your going to put your kids pictures on it with magnets. Fusion comes in quite a few colors and is the best spraying rattle can I've used. Not a lot of choices within each color though. Dries fast so as not to bleed under tape.

thanks for the info guys. i started sanding the dark blue hull down tonight and what seemed like forever , after sanding it reall good it looks more like a dull smurf blue . do i need to keep sanding it or will that be ok to prime over? ? all the shine is off and its smooth .

Sounds like you are ready. No shine will give the paint more to stick to. Remember 3 coats are better than one and being blue you will be pissed on the first one but that is okay. Sand lightly between each one. Keep us posted with pics. What paint did you decide on?

thanks for the info, ill get some pics up once i start painting, still have to wipe the hull down and touch up a few spots. still havent decided on color or brand of paint yet . colors im thinking about silver, orange , orange with white bottom , neon green, or ? would white be a better primer or gray for these colors?

White primer for orange and either white or grey for silver.

White primer would be my choice , it would take anything you decide. You have a hell of a lot of colors there so you are out of my league. Hint: 1/4 vinyl works for masking between colors but still pull it off ASAP blue painters tape bleeds underneath

not using all those colors that was just ideas i was thinking about lol .
