I used to have this boss who would shoot down any idea, only to bring it up a couple weeks later as his own.

Once we figured that out, we would start complimenting him on "that idea you mentioned last week about" such and such that was us actually presenting our original idea to him for the first time. We'd show him code of how "his" idea worked and he'd love it.
