Ok, I have a 51" FG Shovelnose Hydro. I'm thinking a Little Screamers motor with a Swordy 240HV on 10s. Would that be a sufficient powerplant for a hull that size? I'm trying to keep the budget to a minimum and i am only looking for sporting runs, not competition. What would be a good prop to start with? Any opinions, suggestions, ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I know from the screamer thread that markf had best luck with a x460.....

I am going to run my DF sniper with a screamer on 10s this weekend as well.. gonna start myself on a x455, then go to a x457 2 blade, then lastly a x457 3 blade.... we will see I may have more input for you after that... I think MarkF was running in a Hydro your size with the X460.... I would start smaller just to be sure your temps are A OK though....
