Wow lol, how would it do in a 1/10 hydro? RMTB is looking for a good spec motor for next years class.

What is the KV of this motor???

It looks WAY too big for a 1/10th scale... A 1515 series Neu or similiar works perfectly in 1/10th... anything bigger is overkill...

I'd be more interested to know how this would work in a 1/8th...

Steven, when are you going to test and what will the parameters be??? Batteries, ESC, etc.??? Inquiring minds want to know...

My dreams of a brushless BlackJack55 may be closer than I had thought. 8s on an CC HV.

Depending on your needs for 1/10th there are motors out there that should fit your needs now.

                          Thanks Steven... We'll be watching...

As for 1/10th... We consider 1/10th scales to be just that... scales... As such, all out speed isn't what most are after... Competitive scale racing is... These models simply take too long to build to risk them in competition at 50+ mph in my opinion...

The guys here are using SV27 setups in theirs on 4S1P and they are working great... Boats look cool, race well, and have plenty of performance... so any motor in this size range with the appropriate parameters should work fine...

I'm more interested in applications for something BIGGER! I'm hoping to build my 1/8th Scale Phil Thomas 82U55 hull this winter... but I'm going to need a power system for it... Again, sheer speed isn't my main concern, but it'll need to be capable of mid-60's to be competitive..... Would love to have some more options for power...

Im wanting to build something bigger this winter also for racing. Myself I am interested in a AC Blast Cat 40 hull and something like this motor. When it comes to boats of that size, having a budget motor like this can almost make or break the deal for some people. and now with the CC HV esc's coming out, I think we might be on to something. I am very interested in this, and if Steven deals with AC :) Same here for performance, I am looking for 60. Our club with throow all the 8-10s boats intogether...I watched a 8s hydro do 60 this sunday...it was fantastic...and scary to my wallet at the same time!

I am hoping this is a 10s-14s motor....It sure looks like it!!!!!!
