    Why do we do it

On days like today I wonder why I run a boat, long story short my boat died in the middle of the lake, it did drift in but ended up by some reeds so I had to wade in to get it wrecking my new trainers (sneakers) if you American. And as you can prob imagine it's not that warm in the uk in oct. My mrs doesn't understand why I do it. £40 pair of trainers ruined or leave a £300 boat in the lake. No comparison really.

I get that same attitude from my wife.......

I have a very small inflateable boat that I use to stay dry if I need to go out to the middle of the lake.

The water tempatures do not matter because my wrists and hands are the only parts that actually get wet.

The cold water does make them sting like hell however....

Cost me $10 (US) at a local WalMart store.

I have been lucky and have not had a breakdown or a blowover for a very long time now.......

Why not plan ahead & wear old sneakers & old jeans! You got to expect to get your feet wet or wear boots!

I used to wade to receive my boats, the pond was muddy so i just did not wear shoes, walk around in some grass when your're done to dry them off.

Oh to live in Florida, I would gladly brave the gators to live there. It's 10 deg here at the mo and that's quite warm for this time of year, I am going to Florida the end of April for a holiday and I might even buy a new boat while I'm there!

We do it for the good times.

This year has been an epic failure for me. The only thing that runs doesnt run well, and it had its fair share of problems this year.

                            Brand new boat has issues.

my 25" DF knock off has been reworked and facing technical issues.

I can honestly say this year Ive only had 3 good runs and not a one good one on my "fast" boat.

Tonight my drive shaft spun on my wire drive, for the second time. For the fourth time at the pond Ive been severely disappointed. Its actually to the point where it angered me. Now a few hours later Im OK but still upset over it. Time to just throw some money at it and get new parts! lol

we do it because we love to. im still running my boats here in mass, its getting pretty cold tho. been a great year for me. got rid of my proboat (and all the problems that went with it) picked up a ul-1 and supervee27 and have had countless flawless runs (knock on wood) i leave em mostly stock other than small upgrades and they've been super realiable and lots of fun. yeah i went in a couple of times this summer but got a pretty good handle on what these boats will do before a blowover (its all driving) but i think its time to store my batteries and start thinking about which cat im gonna build over the winter. cant decide MM HOTR GENISIS.... decisions decisions
