Fightercat57 had one. He said the hull was built poorly, but it can be a fun hull still. It is inexpensive. Id go with the HOTR cat, or Genesis if you want an inexpensive cat.

yeah ive been looking at those as well. im looking for something i can power with ul-1 motor/esc. I was also looking at the EKOS hulls. i found one for $130, but its 34". not really to sure how much that extra 2" affects anything. I like the looks of it, but im not doing a twin, just single drive.... so i cant decide what the hell i want lol

i have one, honestly imo well built the only complaint i have is that the hardware they provide with it is kinda junky and the hatches canopy is narrow so it makes it tricky stuffing a big motor in there with the aftermarket mount i installed.

as far as a budget build goes i have seen these outfitted with a 45amp proboat esc and aquacraft motor in the high 30's low 40's on 4s

i just ordered a leo 4082 1500kv for mine undecided as to esc yet. should be fun

the hotr is 32 i think, the r2 is 33.5 they look mighty similar but i dont think they are identical

EKOS is 32".Venom advertizes it as 34".Dont buy one.
