First I'd like to say, Steve this is a great and friendly forum. Many guys here post a lot of valuable information. There is a lot of friendly banter. Douggie can be crude at times and it's for the most part funny. He gives people a hard time and he takes it as well. But he is still friendly. I understand some guys don't know who he is but he does give the forum character. Rarely has he been really offensive. But as you've said, people may not know who he is and may take offense to his comments.
Douggie, You know all the senior members love you. Give some of the new guys the chance to like you too. Who knows, you may get a free case of prune juice out of it...

Saying I yam what I yam is not an excuse for rude behavior, neither is age. Asperger's syndrome...maybe. If someone doesn't suffer fools gladly, just leave the post alone and move on.

Just my opinion. Keep OSE friction free, Steven. It's nice for all of us that way. I just wanna enjoy FE and this forum.

I had a great telephone call with Steven today and I will leave it at that, his discourse was great and courteous and Tharmer you are welcome to your opinion as this is how this forum works and please lads no nasty reponses to Tharmer's post as that was his opinion and I respect it

Steven or Danny lock this thread down as the natives are showing their true colours.

Doug and I had a nice talk over the phone. I think we have a better understanding of each other now. I'm putting this one to bed.
