Genesis/ Leopard combo question(s)

Just an update. I installed a Leopard 4074 1400 in it last night. Hope to run her today. Ive got too many 3S batts laying around that I hardly use, so now I have a place for them. Todays run Im going to start 5S and probably a 442. Check it all out and then start finding its sweet spot.

I got a run in today. Not only a run, but put all my recording systems in it as well. Speed was EXACTLY what I wanted. She ran 45.5mph on 6S turning a 442 and pulled 110A. Temps however were not where I hoped. Batts were mid to upper 130s. ESC was 141 and motor was 121F. Maybe 5S and a 642? Or shoudl I just prop down and continue 6S? She also seemed to be running a tad wet. I set the batts where I typically have the 2S batts.. centered ont he factory trays. Perhaps for 3S batts its a tad far forward? It wanted to hook a lot in the turns and "over steer"

Battery temps are still acceptable, but not optimal. Make sure your batteries can supply the power needed. Otherwise all those other temp reading may just be further down the domino line. If the batteries are struggling to keep up your esc will get a lot hotter too.

Also if its running wet it will reflect that in your temperature readings as well.

6S setup is good for me, if you run 5S you will need more amps

Yes, too much hull in the water.

I got a tip from a local last Sunday at a race who has a Genesis. I angled my stru up just a smidgen and ran it around the course It seemed to run much better and a lot cooler. I finally got to run it again today and she GPS's at 51.4. Im more than pleased. Temps were all under 120.

Im very pleased w/ the temps. I was a bit concerned after my first run. But shes dialing in nicely

Wow..........nice big batts. Yeah, the temps were high at first cuz of running wet.........you aired her out and they dropped a good bit. Nice boat!

I wouldnt push it............you have a great boat that runs well......good temps.........just enjoy it.
