    HobbyKing USA Wharehouse

Dont know where this should go,but here it is.The hobbyking usa wharehouse is open. They dont have much except batteries and planes for the most part.I also dont know if the guys on OSE are aware of the u.s. wharehouse.Figured Id give everyone a heads up.I just bought some batteries from there. Its showing quantities no more than 10 for the batteries. If you need some, get them fast, because they wont last long in the u.s. wharehouse. And you know about the customs and air plane shipping on lipos from china now.

They've had it for a little while now.........prices are usually about 20% higher, but the shipping is alot less...........and alot quicker.

It's too bad that the U.S wharehouse will not ship to Canada.

Why? I would think your lipos would be allot more expensive and take as long or longer to get to Canada, at least from my experience that is.

I doubt they are going to chance fudging the total values crossing the USA/Canada border like they do to get them into Canada from China without paying any duty or taxes.

Since they can't do that, shipping is cheaper and just as fast from China.

Are we even supposed to ship lipos through the usps? They always ask if whats inside is hazardous, flammable, perishable or potentially hazardous. I always say No, But arent lipos all of the above??

I think Canada Post is the same...a couple of months ago, I got a kid who recognized the weight and packaging shape of a lipo and he flat out asked me...is this an RC battery? Lipo or NIMH? And then he told me that Canada Post won't ship anything with Lithium contents....but UPS or Fedex will??

Probably not, but the vendor is responsible for adhering to the law when shipping correct? I let them deal with that issure.

Sending lipos by airfreight is gonna get tougher here in the USA and else.A UPS jet crashed 2mo ago somewhere in the middle east do to a lipo shipment igniting in the cargo compartment. Both pilots died....read it in one of Dallas daily newspaper.......Al

Apparently it will, but shipping prices are the same as from Singapore. I didn't think they would ship to Canada, but someone on RCG pointed out they will, so I tried it and it does let you add it to your cart and gives shipping prices to Canada.

$27 EMS for a single 3s 2200mah pack though, I'd rather pay the cheaper price if the shipping is the same.

Although, if US prices are MUCH better I might have to make an american friend :D
