Just for information, the teflon for the 0.187 flex is 1/4. Used to run 0.187 in 1/4 tubes, no problem. Also depends on the bend of the tube. A large bend with 7/32 and 0.187 may cause problems.

Mine is using a full length of 7/32 tubing with a very slight bend. I'm gonna sand the flex cable too. Plus my setup is gonna turn just under 30,000 rpms unloaded. Hopefully it will be ok, cause I already epoxied a battery tray over the stuffing tube and it will be a "bear" if I have to remove it!

Gary - I'm running .187 flex in 1/4" stuffing tube. It makes some strange noises during hard acceleration, but steady state/constant velocity it's fine. Haven't had any problems other than the noise. Runs very free.

Thanks Shooter. Just ran it again and its just as you discribe. Now that I really listen the noise will become smother and less as it gets up to speed. I guess she's just fine. Had to ask to avoid a possible disaster.

Hey Forescott, Picked up a tip from a buddy of mine and have seen it mentioned here too. When I install my stuffing tube I use a short pieced of tube on size larger then my stuffing tube to pass through the hull and then the short piece is what is epoxied into the hull. Makes replacing, adjusting the bend in the tube much easier it just slides out of the short thru hull piece thats epoxied into the hull. I put a little silicone on the stuffing tube as I slide it in and that seals against water leaks.
