    24" V-Hull Setup Help

I got this in trade and IDK WTF to do with this little thing.
Seems cool though. Self righteous lil yella fella.

Where do I set the COG?

Do I need turn fins or trim tabs?
HTH would I mount them with the big arse hole in the side?

Look at my arowana thread, similiar type boat. I was just looking at that very same boat today that you have. I might get one to try it out at some point.

Where did you end up setting the COG?

          Thanks!

I'm guessing 27%? or is it 30% on little mono's?

Start at 30, that's what i have on my mono 1 boats. They tend to lift the nose quite a lot...
With a good setup, you never need trimtabs, they just add drag. As for the turnfin, the easiest way to do it is a piece of thin stainless, bolted to the side. This is the best I've tried, excellent if you hit something. You can even do this on both sides...
For the trimtab, you could cut the support as I did for a friend's DF clone, if you really want them.

OK, got the hardware and drive installed.

Still haven't decided if I want to paint it.

IDK what prop to start with, so put a little 36/3 on to be safe. I'll most likely use the 2200kv outrunner on 4s when it arrives.

OK, she's ready for the maiden!

Still figuring what to do about turn fins. I'll probably just make some small pieces from aluminum sheet.

It's a vinyl cut. Had a buddy do up some decals from the avatar that Cornel did for me. =)
