Can I use clear 3M duct tape, or do I need something different? Im trying to pick up some at home depot vs ordering.

My guess is that it'll leave residue on the boat if left on too long. (not sure how long is too long though)

...oh, and it may pull some paint (if any) on your boat too!

I buy the stuff here @ OSE. Don't know what it is but it's the best tape I have used to date.

Just use electrical tape. I use electrical tape and it does not pull paint or leave anything behind. Plus it can be re used inbetween battery changes. .89 cents a roll and they come in clear, white, yellow, black, blue, red. I am not trying to steer sales away from OSE but when ya need something quick there it is.

Nope, its a southern thing too; the OSE tape is hockey tape. Renfrew hockey tape to be exact
