    Cross Reference a Motor?

Does anyone know which brushless LiPo motor would be better than a Dumas #200? I bought my dad a Dumas 31' Trojan to scratch build, and he's having a ball with it and now wants to power it and I don't want to buy the listed Dumas motors. The Dumas #200's is for twin screws, but I think I'd rather power it with the single screw option, but I forget the recommended gas motor...anyone have some insight?

Norm, I have a bunch of brushed motors that would work. 550 and 700,like in my lobster boat Larry

Thanks Larry, Any idea what the KV is rated on the Dumas 200? I was wondering if I couldn't install one of my UL-1 motors and esc and run only 2S1P for 7.4V to the motor, but I'm not sure if under-volting the motor and esc would cause bad things to happen.......My dad always liked building the balsa airplanes, and when my mom recently passed, I figured, keep him occupied, now he is as bad as us with FE, he wants to power it and run with us...the prices for motors and esc's on Dumas site are rediculous, and I have the UL motor and esc

HI, Norm The dumas motor is a brushed motor. Your dad is building a cabin cruser not a hydro. I think a bl motor would be over powering that hull.Like puting twin turbos in your full size boat. Save your motor, for his next build a (hydro) The motors I have are free, get a duratrax auto sport esc w reverse for it. I can hook you up w a good prop. Will try to catch up with you soon Larry

Norm, how is your dad doing with his build ? I have a 700 motor(5mm) shaft, and a 4 blade 40mm x4mm prop he can have. get a 4mm shaft and a Graupner 5mm x 4mm flex coupler from OSE. If he needs any help, or ? LMK Larry
