V Series - High Rake Props

Does anyone have any experience with these? They seem to mimic the full size hydro props and the "kid" in me says that THIS is what a performance prop should look like! Tons of rearward rake...maybe for bow lift??

A couple of us purchased them in the swap shop today not knowing what to expect. Any help/experience with these would be welcomed! Thanks!

BTW - The grim 42x57 prop is very similar in shape and has done wonders for my Vacupickle for top end speed. She takes a while to plane, but after that it's off to the races!

It's no good you should just give it to me lol I got second place at the nats with one on a 3.5 tunnel would have had first if my flow meter did not fall off the table . it also held the 3.5 tunnel record I do not know if it does now. on a small hydro or rigger it will work good. I have one and it is going in a small rigger with a 5500KV motor with 2s lipos but like I said you can give it to me.

Most of the first 80+ mph SAW records were held by V900 props, and the world's fastest FE boat used a prop of similar design. They work great for speed on hydros, but handling can suffer on many hulls for oval racing. For large diameter turns like on the 1/6 mile course they are okay, but on tighter 1/10 mile courses not so good. They produce quite a bit of lift so are very setup-specific, but with high rpm motors they can rock.

Don't confuse model boat prop terms with full scale terms. Model props are Lifting Props if they lift the stern, not the bow.
