    Electroluminescent wire or panels

Didnt see the off topic anywhere, move this if you need to Steve. i was bored and Got to thinking about my 66 charger and its dash lighting (Electroluminescent) So i called a few folks and they sent me a few links for the modern stuff.

While i dont have time to do anything with this myself, i remember a few folks running their boats at night, something this stuff would be ideal for, much much better than LED lighting. (also work on planes or helis)

They are powered by 12 or 9 v batteries, comes in any length or width, you can cut any desired shape, colors can be applied to the standard white or blue panels to change colors. There is also a variety of colored Electroluminescent wire, very small diameter, like having a mini neon tube, these also come in a variety of colors, average prices were quite low. Also extremely light and easy to water proof.

Many companies also produce decal like applications, not sure on the cost for those though.

Many many companies are on the net i found quite a few. i wont post due to the approved link thing. Just thought i would throw this out there. Will throw this on the off topic part in RR too.

You dont have to worry about "approved links". So far I haven't deleted any links that have been relevant to our hobby or the thread at hand.

    Please post.
