Optimum timing depends on the load and motor construction. The 1515/1Y can use extra timing advance in many cases, just not too much. The heavier the load, the more timing advance is required. For sport use I'd try around 8-10 degrees. For hard racing I use 15 degrees on 1Y motors. Whatever you use, monitor heat for the first several runs to confirm you are okay.
